Virginia A. Corman , 81, of Burlington, died at 8:30 AM Sunday, October 6, 2019, at the Bickford Cottage.
Born January 9, 1938, in Moline, IL, she was the daughter of George Graham and Beatrice Nelson Corman.
She was a 1956 graduate of Burlington High School.
Virginia did clerical work for JI Case for 30 years and Burlington School District for 8 years.
She was a member of West Hill United Methodist Church and also attended Riverside Baptist Church. She loved going to garage and yard sales, church functions and was the Historian of West Hill United Methodist Church. Virginia enjoyed learning about the history of Des Moines County, supported all of the music events in Burlington, and was a member of Friends of the Depot. She also had a passion for traveling the United States and abroad, including the Holy Land.
Survivors include her brother, Roger (Dorothy) Corman of Colorado; one nephew, Brian Corman; one niece, Leslie Conley; several cousins and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Cremation has been entrusted to the care of Prugh~Thielen Crematory.
Visitation will be from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM Friday, October 11, 2019 at Prugh~Thielen Funeral Home.
The memorial service for Miss. Corman will be 11:00 AM Friday, October 11, 2019, at Prugh~Thielen Funeral Home with Rev. Tamara Wirt officiating. Burial will be in Burlington Memorial Park Cemetery.
A memorial has been established for West Hill United Methodist Church.
