Hilda Mae Baker, 67, of Burlington, died at 4:32 PM, Wednesday, June 16, 2004, at the Great River Medical Center Klein Center.
Born June 8, 1937, in Moulton, Iowa she was the daughter of Homer and Grace Fincher. She married Maurice "Jack" Baker on December 5, 1957 in Moulton, Iowa. They later divorced.
Mrs. Baker was a Homemaker.
She enjoyed watching soap operas, crocheting, needle point and cross stitching.
Survivors include two daughters, Sarah M. Krieger and Juanita J. Baker both of Burlington; five sons, Morris J. Baker, Michael W. Baker, Douglas L. Baker, Gary D. Baker, all of Burlington and Kenneth R. Baker of Ft. Madison; eight grandchildren; four great grandchildren and three brothers, James Fincher, Robert Fincher, and Rodney Fincher all of Moulton, IA; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister, and one nephew.
Visitation will be from 9:00 AM until 3:00 PM Saturday at the Hass Funeral Home where the family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until 12:00 PM. After the visitation as per the request of Mrs. Baker her body will be cremated. Inurnment will be at a later date in Aspen Grove Cemetery. A memorial has been established.
