Donna Jeanne Tyner, 86, of Columbia City, died at 10:15 am Tuesday, November 28, 2017, at the Sycamore Village in Fort Wayne IN.
Born September 5, 1931, in IA, she was the daughter of Arthur and Ruth Hathaway Corman. On October 3, 1992, she married Robert Wayne Tyner in Burlington. He later passed March 21, 2011.
In addition to being a homemaker, for a time she owned a fabric store in Fort Madison and worked as a the supervisor in the dietary department at Burlington Medical Center.
She obtained her diploma from Burlington Community High School.
She attended the First Church of God in Columbia City, IN with her daughter Diane. She enjoyed antiquing, antique dishes, auctions and cooking. She loved caring for her parents and family, playing cards, going to the movies and being on the water in their boat.
Survivors include one daughter, Diane (John) Meister of Columbia City, IN; one son, Larry (MaryLee) Matteson of Burlington; five grandchildren; five great grandchildren; two brothers, Warren (Shirley) Corman and Wayne (Winona) Corman both of Sperry; and one sister, Leanne (Jim) Kurrle of Burlington.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM Monday, December 4, 2017 at Prugh-Thielen Funeral Home.
The funeral service for Mrs. Tyner will be 11:00 AM Monday, December 4, 2017, at Prugh~Thielen Funeral Home with Chaplain David Plooster officiating. A time of food and fellowship will be held in the community room at Prugh~Thielen Funeral Home following the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorials have been established for Homes 4 Haiti and Sycamore Village.
